Get Involved: KSM Starter Community Participation Program
Over the last few days, the KSM Starter community has experienced exponential growth in both size and diversity. While we truly appreciate the level of enthusiasm and support shown for KSM Starter, we also understand that it is not an easy task to provide fast, direct answers to the various questions from our valued community members. Today, we are asking for the KSM Starter community to get involved in nurturing our flourishing community in the role of Community Moderators.
Role of Community Moderators
Anyone can become a “community manager”. However, it takes exceptional understanding of KSM Starter and true belief in the vision for one to become a community moderator. The moderators are responsible for ensuring that the KSM Starter community is an inclusive community, and free from any expression of hatred or bias towards any certain group based on gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, religion, and other criteria. KSM Starter is a place for anyone and everyone, and the community moderators are the keepers of this ethos.
Community moderators will also take charge of providing accurate information for the community members, and offer guidance when needed. This is done by resolving any misunderstanding, answering questions, and most importantly elevating certain questions for the community to discuss if it may lead to KSM Starter building a superior product based on community feedback.
Community moderators also provide a bridge between the community and the team. They will have direct access to conversation with any of the team members, so that important issues can be properly delivered to the team to be investigated. This part of the role also allows community moderators to effectively screen various proposals within the community, and elevate any potential value-adding proposal that may allow KSM Starter to become stronger.
Requirements
To apply to become a community moderator, one must follow these simple steps:
- Follow KSM Starter on Twitter
- Join the KSM Starter Telegram community
- Subscribe to the KSM Starter Telegram announcement channel
- Fill out this Google form
It is important to fill out the Google application form as accurately as possible, so that the KSM Starter team can reach out to the most promising potential community moderators.
